Our SUNSON team had its first “Technical meeting”!

IonVacc, UPM and CIEMAT-PSA met on 15th May in Madrid, to put in common all the contents and knowledge acquired during the first months of the project to perform the “conceptual process design of the SUNSON-BOX” that will be reflected in the Deliverable 2.2 “Conceptual design and modeling for the overall SUNSON process”

In this meeting, a detailed revision of the KPIs and existing technologies was assessed, as well as the requirements and specifications of the demonstrator and technical set-up for the implementation. This preliminary conceptual design modeling will determine the system pre-sizing, power and capacity definition, control logic, and overall integration of the prototype elements. In this sense, the interaction between the individual solutions (solar-to-heat conversion, thermal storage, and heat-to-power conversion with solid-state TPV) will be determined.
