The SUNSON consortium was present at the 31st SolarPACES International Conference, held in Almería, Spain, from September 23–26, 2025, one of the main global forums promoting technical progress in the field of concentrating solar power and chemical energy systems, bringing together stakeholders from research, industry, policy and funding.
The event proved highly productive for the SUNSON team. The project coordinator, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, took the stage to present the latest work, key results, and technological advancements from the project to an audience of leading international experts.
A special highlight was the site visit organized by project partners at Plataforma Solar de Almería (CIEMAT), offering a firsthand look at world-class concentrated solar technology in action, serving as a perfect complement to the scientific discussions held throughout the conference.
The SUNSON consortium would like to express its gratitude to the SolarPACES organizers, all partners, and everyone who engaged with the team during the event. The discussions and connections made in Almería reflect the growing momentum behind concentrated solar power technologies, and the SUNSON consortium looks forward to continuing to contribute to this field through ongoing research and collaboration.
